The Style Box

Capturing an inch of press attention in the middle of the Toronto International Film Festival is a huge feat, so kudos to The Style Box’s Gail McInnes and Amanda Brugel for dominating entertainment news shows, newspaper style sections and fashion blogs leading up to this year’s TIFF.

Their designer showroom and celebrity dressing agency promoting made-in-Canada designs generated so much buzz that they’ve added more Canadian labels, including Evan Biddell, Carlie Wong and Brandon R. Dwyer, to their mix of red-carpet-ready items.

“Celebrities and fashion tend to attract a lot of attention,” says McInnes. “We’re bringing together the entertainment and fashion industries to support each other.” Last Tuesday (October 13), they hosted a red-carpet preview for Gemini Award nominees, and the duo will be scouting menswear labels at next week’s shows. thestylebox.ca.
