The week’s news, views and sales

Going offline

Etsy, popular e-tailer of handmade and vintage goods, takes its wares off the web and on the road in its first mobile marketplace.

Etsy’s Canadian tour in a 30-foot custom AirStream trailer will bring musicians, local food, Canadian sellers and more to Montreal, Ottawa, Kingston and Toronto.

Follow the marketplace using the Twitter hashtag #EtsyRoadTrip and catch the truck in Toronto at King West and Brant on August 8 from 11 am to 7 pm and August 9 in the Distillery District from 10 am to 6 pm.

Power shop

Power up your wardrobe at local designer Caitlin Power’s VIP Designer Sale at 14 Markham. Enjoy 50 to 60 per cent off her classic, yet edgy styles for women. We personally love her eye-catching outerwear and pencil skirts made to rule the boardroom. Stop by Thursday and Friday (July 24 and 25) from 5 to 8 pm or Saturday (July 26) from 1 to 7 pm.

Summer savings

Anti-Hero’s entire spring/summer collection is on sale for up to 60 per cent off. Stop by the store (113 Yorkville, 416-924-6121, antihero.ca) and stock up on men’s spring overcoats, blazers, suits, dress shirts, jeans, sneakers, shorts and more.
