V, 702 Queen West, 647-748-9119, 69vintage.com

We covered 69 Vintage’s spinoff shop V more than a few times while it was open for a year and a half at 198 Walnut, but its newest incarnation at Queen and Euclid is an entirely different deal.

“I was ready to take my business to the next level,” says owner Kealan Sullivan. Though she enjoyed switching up the concept at the Walnut shop, she’s settled on a consistently clean and more contemporary look in the new whitewashed boutique. “69 Vintage will always be my comfortable space, but the clothes here represent how I dress.”

The mix of cashmere sweaters, fur coats from the 40s and 50s, leather jackets and retro dresses appeals to today’s vintage lovers, who combine eras and styles for a personal and eclectic look. Those shoppers work in new clothing, too, so you’ll also find pieces by Toronto designers Caitlin Power and Evan Biddell on V’s racks.

V picks: A mint-condition silk beaded blouse is the finest piece of 80s clothing we’ve seen in a long time, $895 a Caitlin Power top is accented with neon stripes, $255 a wall of boots, many refurbished with new heels and soles, includes motorcycle and Beatles styles, $85 to $220.

Look for: A series of sale events in February. Sign onto the store’s mailing list on the website to receive details.

Hours: Tuesday-Wednesday, Friday- Saturday noon to 6 pm, Thursday noon to 8 pm, Sunday noon to 5 pm.
