Calling all diehard Bill Murray fans

Our calendars are already full this September, but we suppose we can make room for one more event: Bill Murray Day, as part of the Toronto International Film Festival.

That’s right. On Sept. 5, TIFF celebrates the witty and irrepressible Bill Murray and his contributions to the film industry with an entire day dedicated to this longtime comedic hero.

Starting at 10 am, diehard Bill Murray fans can view three of his legendary films for free: Stripes, Groundhog Day and Ghostbusters at the TIFF Bell Lightbox.

Up to 50 fans who attend all three movies will also have the chance to win a free ticket to the world premiere screening of St. Vincent, the Murricane’s latest comedy, scheduled for the evening of Bill Murray Day at 9 p.m.

Tickets for the free screenings will not become available until 8 a.m. on Sept. 5, so here’s hoping you’re a morning person.
