Anticipation was palpable for Bad Tits, the new electronic duo from Sebastien Grainger (DFA 1979) and Josh Reichmann (Tangiers, Josh Reichmann Oracle Band).
The former offered up solid, mid-tempo grooves and loops on an electronically enhanced drum kit while the latter played piddly guitar and synth lines and stared at the hypnotic sci-fi wall projections.
Disappointingly, the repetitious songs never quite went anywhere and the vocals were so processed, melodies were merely suggested rather than delivered. But hey, the project’s still young.
