It’s still easy to set Chris Brown off, as Toronto-based rapper Lyracist a.k.a. Katie Kush learned on Twitter last week.
After she joked, “I would tell @chrisbrown that’s he’s a dick, but he’d probably just take my words and put them in his butt. #pow,” the irascible R&B singer fired back with two menacing direct messages.
“Bitch ass nigga!” he wrote, “Stop following me insect! Niggas who talk shit are never the ones who do anything!”
Brown had reached his 140-character limit but not the limit of his rage. He followed up eloquently in an second message:
“I would love to kick Yo ass up but I don’t feel like donating any of my money to ur medical bill pussy!”
This episode proves that some people are impervious to anger-management classes, like those R&B Hulk had reportedly attended in the aftermath of his brutal assault on Rihanna in 2009.
Brown proved this more dramatically, himself, earlier this year, when he trashed his dressing room – CHRIS BROWN SMASH!!! – after being asked about the incident on Good Morning America.
Lyracist says in an email that her brush with Breezy revealed his true colours.
“CB did send me that message, and in its disrespectful imagery it shows what type of person he is. Yes, I made a rude joke… What else is the internet for? I say ignorant shit all day. In fact, I thought the joke was mighty clever,” she wrote.
The rapper is not looking to exploit Brown’s digital threats for attention, however. Had we not contacted her, their exchange would have likely gone unnoticed.
Lyracist says that she still appreciates his music, which she sees as something separate from his personality.
“I believe in the artists of my generation… and I will always continue to admire and respect them, as musicians, and sometimes nothing more than that,” she writes. “CB fits this position. Going forward, I’m gonna feel weird everytime I listen to his music, and I’ll never view him the same again… But I’ll always respect his art.”
Lyracist is no longer following Chris Brown.
