Ensign’s quick-paced tunes feature pulsating guitars, a solid, hard-hitting rhythm section and melodic guitar riffs. Though they assert their anger and aggravation musically and lyrically, they manage to convey a sense of optimism in an intelligent way. The track Everything You Everlove sums up exactly what the East Coast boys can do, which is to keep your head nodding while staying clear of the tired old hardcore clichés.
