Folk music legend and recent NOW interviewee Buffy Sainte-Marie (see our feature here) is one of three musicians who will receive the Royal Conservatory’s highest honour.
The Canadian/American Cree singer/songwriter, concert violinist James Ehnes and real estate developer/jazz pianist Mario Romano will be named honorary fellows at the Conservatory’s signature fundraising event, The Royal Occasion, on May 14.
The fellows will perform at Koerner Hall, alongside Glenn Gould School resident conductor Joaquin Valdepeñas. Past honorary fellows include Leslie Feist, Bruce Cockburn, David Foster and Oscar Peterson.
