Hungry for the video

If you’ve been hitting up some of the better parties this summer, you’ve probably heard Hungry For The Power by local production team Azari & III, featuring SYF (aka local house music vocalist for hire Starving Yet Full, and also one of our models for the End Of The Hipster cover story) and Fritz Helder (of local electro-pop band Fritz Helder and the Phantoms).

The track has been gaining steam for the past few months, and now they’ve put together a disturbing and graphically violent video (filmed and edited by frequent Broken Social Scene collaborator George Vale) for it, drawing liberally from American Psycho for inspiration. We kind of feel like we needed a shower after watching it, but it is definitely memorable, whether you hate it or love it.

Be warned, this video contains nudity, graphic sexuality, and gore.If you’re at the kind of workplace that monitors what you do online, you should probably think twice before clicking the link. You may also want to reconsider if you have delicate sensibilities, a weak stomach, or if you hate house music.
