King West promoter facing four more sexual assault charges

UPDATE (April 15, 2016): Four more women have come forward with sexual assault allegations against a King West party promoter and photographer who allegedly sexually assaulted an 18-year-old in his home.

Police said the alleged assaults took place between 1994 and 2014 and involved a then-15-year-old, a then-26-year-old and two then-27-year-olds.

In a press release issued on March 3, police said an 18-year-old woman went to a man’s home in the Queen’s Quay and Yonge area on February 20 for a photo shoot.

After she began posing for him, she was allegedly sexually assaulted, police said.

On March 1, police arrested 39-year-old Mark Holland and charged him with one count of sexual assault. He appeared in court on April 5.

On April 14, he was arrested and charged with four additional counts of sexual assault.

Holland’s Twitter and Facebook pages link to the event promotion company Kleen Media, which focuses on “marketing, advertising, event planning, staffing and cutting edge nightlife.”

The company’s website features party flyers for events at King West-area clubs Uniun, Brassaii and Wildflower as well as a March 15 party with Art Department at The Everleigh.

Following the initial arrest, a rep for Brassaii said that Holland doesn’t work for the restaurant and had no further comment.

Kristen Hunter, senior publicist at INK Entertainment, which owns Uniun, confirmed with NOW “that INK Entertainment no longer works with Kleen Media in any capacity.”

Police believe there are other victims.
