Electronic musician Moby helped propel dance music into the mainstream thanks to the unexpected success of his 1999 album, Play.
The years he spent making music and working as a DJ in late 80s/early 90s New York before that release are now the subject of a memoir, Porcelain, published earlier this month by Penguin.
On May 26, the 50-year-old musician and animal rights activist (aka Richard Melville Hall) comes to Harbourfront Centre to talk about the book, his career and New York Citys 1990s dance music scene.
The event starts at 7:30 pm and tickets are $10, free for Harbourfront supporters, students and youth under 25. See listing.
