Music fans had a brief chance to own a piece of Toronto music history when the Rancho Relaxo sign was put up as a trade on popular Facebook bartering group Bunz Trading Zone on Monday, August 31.
Davy Love, who is turning the former Mexi restaurant and live venue into an British-style pub called The Old Laurel, posted the trade to much fanfare: it garnered 175 “likes” in 15 hours, with dozens of Bunz making offers – an XL pepperoni and mushroom pizza, a DeSisti Fresnel lamp – in the comments.
In the end, the pizza offer won out.
