Former Alexisonfire frontman Dallas Green, a.k.a. City And Colour, previewed new songs and a new lineup at two SXSW shows at Austin Music Hall and Stages on Sixth (pictured here). City And Colour is heading on the road supporting Pink on three US dates then 10 UK dates with Biffy Clyro, proving that Green has in no way lost touch with his Southwestern Ontario screamo roots.
Elsewhere, Toronto’s local-boys-made-good METZ obliterating Red Eyed Fly, the smallest and sweatiest venue of their half-dozen plus SXSW shows, with their 22 minute sonic assault on Friday. They pulled off some pretty priceless facial expressions in the process.
