To come up with material for the Rural Alberta Advantage’s third album, Mended With Gold (Paper Bag, September 30), Nils Edenloff rented a remote cottage on the Bruce Peninsula for some quiet, private writing time. But it turns out that the howling wolves, prowling bears and solitude ended up being way more creepy than peaceful, a mood reflected in songs like To Be Scared and Terrified.
