Where in Toronto is Dan Deacon’s skull?

Weirdo pop genius Dan Deacon has never been known for putting a lot of distance between himself and his audience at shows. Usually he sets up right in the middle of the crowd rather than the stage, and is prone to leading the fans in various bizarre audience participation games. Unfortunately, it seems that someone in Toronto took advantage of that during (or after) his Tuesday night gig at the Great Hall, and stole the trademark glowing green skull that has been his mascot for the past six years.

As the singer posted on his Facebook page, he’d really like it back, and is threatening to never play Toronto again unless it’s returned.

Pretty dramatic, but it actually gets worse. Not long after that first post, he put up another update, stating that the tires to his tour bus were also slashed.

C’mon Toronto – we’re supposed to be the nice guys!

Having said that, threatening to never play a city again because of the actions of a few (or possibly one person) isn’t really fair to the rest of his fans, and is kind of childish. Let’s just assume he didn’t really mean it, and was just upset about his missing skull.

To get an idea of what we’re supposed to be keeping an eye out for, you can see the skull during happier days last year in Toronto in this video footage:
