On Zeus’s new album, Classic Zeus (out now on Arts & Crafts), the Toronto four-piece mix more modern elements and textures into their Beatlesesque harmonies and retro pop songcraft. The 60s and 70s references are still plentiful, and they still clearly love warm analog tones, but they’ve turned down the blasts of fuzzed-out guitars heard on 2012’s Busting Visions. Catch the always strong live act as they trade instruments and rock out.
