The 2026 Michelin Guide Toronto & Region was just released, featuring 15 restaurants, including one with a two-star rating.

aKin (⭐️)
Location: 51 Colborne St.
Using select top ingredients from across the country, aKin serves a delicious modern tasting menu that draws inspiration from Asia. Led by Chef Eric Chong, some of the menu’s highlights include PEI oyster with rice wine vinegar foam, jellyfish with buttermilk sauce, and madai with house-made sauerkraut and a mala-spiced broth.
Alo (⭐️)
Location: 3rd Floor, 163 Spadina Ave.
According to the Michelin Guide, this spot’s cozy atmosphere and flexibility can make anyone feel welcome. Located in the downtown core, this spot offers four-course, six-course, and ten-course menus that are always full of surprise. Some of their highlights include a Koshihikari risotto with wagyu and truffle, duck breast with asparagus and stuffed morels, and strawberries with sake foam for dessert.
DaNico (⭐️)
Location: 440 College St.
Another great dining experience topped by a sophisticated atmosphere is DaNico, which is decorated in high ceilings, dark colours, luxe tabletops, and impressive artwork, according to the guide. The restaurant features global flavours through a multicourse prix-fixe or tasting menu, including tonburi caviar, soft-boiled eggs with vegetables, and a kombucha sorbet.
Don Alfonso 1890 (⭐️)
Location: The Westin Harbour Castle, 1 Harbour Sq.
Offering a reliable great experience, with incredible city and lake views, and delicious Italian dishes, Don Alfonso 1890 has held a Michelin star for four years. The prix fixe or tasting menus offer traditional and modern dishes, including the marjoram-infused ricotta, smoked provolone and spinach cannelloni and lamb chop with chickpea panisse and red onion chutney.
Edulis (⭐️)
Location: 169 Niagara St.
Also praised for its warm atmosphere and great hospitality, this restaurant’s multicourse menu is inspired by the Mediterranean, and includes fresh seafood, seasonal flavours, and amazing sauces.
Enigma Yorkville (⭐️)
Location: 23 St. Thomas St.
According to the guide, Enigma Yorkville is known for serving up classic European dishes with global influences, accompanied by an attentive service. Diners can have intriguing flavours like salmon en croûte with scallop mousse or kombu butter-poached oyster, foie gras terrine with grilled shokupan.
Kaiseki Yu-zen Hashimoto (⭐️)
Location: 6 Sakura Way
This spot is said to transport diners directly to Japan, offering delicious soups to sweet rice to ripe fruit and amazing sake. The restaurant also offers an intimate experience, with guests dining in fully private rooms and served attentively.
Kappo Sato (⭐️)
Location: 575 Mount Pleasant Rd.
Led by Chef Takeshi Sato, this restaurant’s staff not only offer an outstanding dining experience, but also a show of knife mastery and ingredient handling, with diners seated long in an open kitchen where they get a clear view of their dishes being prepared. The spot offers some Japanese classics, from flavourful broths to tempuras to shiso or seared toro nigiri.
Osteria Giulia (⭐️)
Location: 134 Avenue Rd.
Another Italian restaurant featured in the list is Osteria Giulia, with some of its highlights including a light vitello tonnato and a piping hot Ligurian flatbread stuffed with stracchino. The candlelit restaurant also offers a soft and welcoming atmosphere, topped with an incredible Italian wine list and cocktail offerings.
Quetzal (⭐️)
Location: 419 College St.
This Mexican spot exhales personality through a distinctive menu filled with authentic flavours. Diners can fund traditional smokiness from its wood-burning grills and hearths and creative agave-based cocktails. Some of the highlights featured in the Michelin guide are the empanada oaxaquena and lamb chops set over a black garlic mole negro with fried hoja santa leaves.
Restaurant 20 Victoria (⭐️)
Location: 20 Victoria St.
Said to be ideal for intimate dates, Restaurant 20 Victoria offers a contemporary tasting menu with Mexican influences, accompanied by a candle-lit environment and warm service. Diners could go for a tamale with salsa roja and snow crab, or scallop with mole verde.
Restaurant Pearl Morissette (⭐️⭐️)
Location: 3953 Jordan Rd, Jordan Station, Ont.
The only Ontario restaurant to now hold two Michelin stars is Restaurant Pearl Morissette. Proud to only use seasonal ingredients harvested from Canada, Chefs Daniel Hadida and Eric Robertson guide this restaurant’s tasting menus with features like roasted guinea hen with chanterelles, figs, and mokum carrot. There’s no better spot to really feel that “from farm to table” freshness.
Shoushin (⭐️)
Location: 3328 Yonge St.
From an introductory omakase to a longer, more personalized menu, dining at Shoushin could be a complete, personable experience. Offering the freshest quality ingredients, rare sakes, attentive service and seasonal flavours like the firefly squid and murasaki uni, this one also made this year’s list.
Sushi Masaki Saito (⭐️)
Location: 88 Avenue Rd.
It’s no coincidence that Chef Masaki Saito’s excellence has even granted him a TIFF documentary in 2025, having been in the Michelin Guide since 2022. This spot also focuses on serving some of the best, freshest ingredients as well as a complete experience that promises to make the world outside fade away. Some of the highlights in the guide include the Botan shrimp with uni sauce and hanaho and toro with white truffles.
The Pine (⭐️)
Location: 7535 County Rd 9, Creemore, Ont.
Inspired by Chef Jeremy Austin’s experience living in China, this spot, located north of Toronto, offers authentic bites paired with creativity. Some of the highlights in this restaurant include the tra egg and dried fried string beans.
