Earlier this evening, a group of cyclists gathered to mourn the death of Tom Samson, a Toronto elementary school teacher killed in a hit-and-run last week. The assembled bikers met near the Miles Nadal JCC at Bloor and Spadina and rode to Lansdowne and Davenport, where Samson was struck last Friday morning. The memorial service was organized by ARC, Advocacy for Respect for Cyclists, a group formed in 1996 that has since spearheaded Toronto’s first coroner’s report investigating cycling deaths.
