World Water Day Every year, groups celebrate the planet’s water systems and the need to protect them, and every year things get a little worse. Get the low-down with a screening of Water on the Table (featuring water warrior Maude Barlow) and discussion with filmmaker Liz Marshall and Council of Canadians’ Mark Calzavara. Accidental Pilgrims in Palestine Olive oil has not only a food value in Palestine, but a deep culture meaning besides. Olive trees are symbols of survival and rootedness, but with the occupation and Israel’s takeover of Palestinian land, they are under constant threat.
