Sobey Art Award Ontario Oakville Galleries fills both locations with work by the province’s five long-listed nominees (Aleesa Cohene, Gareth Long, Derek Sullivan, Josh Thorpe and the duo of Young & Giroux), this year selected by Oakville Galleries curator Marnie Fleming. A finalist is chosen for each of the four regions of Canada, with the $50,000 winner to be announced in Halifax on Oct 13. (Daniel Barrow won last year). See listing.
