WIth The Void Painters Stephen Andrews and Pierre Dorion and video artist Dara Gellman explore the territory between the figurative and the abstract. The title comes from a comment Albert Camus wrote in a guest book for an Yves Klein exhibit: “Avec le vide, les pleins pouvoirs” (With the void, full powers). At Diaz Contemporary. See listing.

Stage

Next To Normal It’s rare for a musical to win the Pulitzer Prize, but Next To Normal (which also won a Tony) wows just about everyone who sees it. Another Tony winner for the show, Alice Ripley, is great as a mother dealing with bipolar disorder, but just as good — maybe even better — is Emma Hunton, who plays her daughter.
