Kevin Schmidt The Vancouver-based artist, whose conceptual and film installation work explores the hero’s quest in popular culture, gets a solo show at Justina M. Barnicke Gallery. In the exhibit, entitled Don’t Stop Believing (after the Journey song beloved of TV’s Glee), he touches on Lord Of The RIngs and Franklin’s search from the Northwest Passage. Schmidt gives a talk before tonight’s opening reception. See listing. (His billboard installation at the Power Plant, which went up as part of Contact, continues all summer.)
