Silk Oasis: Bukhara Curator Natalia Nekrassova leads a tour of Silk Oasis On The Silk Road: Bukhara, a show of Central Asian clothing, hangings and coverlets made of ikat-dyed (threads are tie-dyed threads before weaving) and embroidered silk. The labour-intensive process for creating these beautiful wavy-edged patterns in rich plant-based colours is a lost art. At the Textile Museum. See listing.
