Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Toronto with high temperatures expected through Thursday, July 6.

Similar warnings have been issued throughout southern Ontario and Quebec.

Maximum temperatures are projected to reach the high thirties and low forties with humidity, and  lows are set to range between the early twenties and late teens.

Tuesday’s high is set to hit 31 C but will feel like 39 with humidity. A mix of sun and cloud is also expected today with a chance of showers and risk of a thunderstorm tonight.

Extreme heat poses a risk to everyone’s health. Environment Canada has advised to watch for the effects of heat stroke, to stay hydrated at all times, and to never leave people or pets inside unattended vehicles.
