GE invented the LED bulb in 1962 and has now reinvented it. The GE Energy Smart LED bulb outperforms all other LEDs in energy consumed (8 watts), brightness (450 lumens) and life (17 years). Sure, the $50 expected price is a lot for a light bulb – but it’ll run long enough for your kid to go from diapers to high school graduation.
