Getting Gaddafi out

For today’s poll we turn our attention to the anguish in Libya where the deluded dictator, Muammar Gaddafi, is hanging on as his country lurches from revolution to civil war.

Among western nations the debate has been over what to do, if anything, to affect a peaceful resolution of the deadly situation. Bringing Gaddafi before the International Criminal Court is one option that has been discussed. So has the idea of declaring a no-fly zone over Libya to prevent Gaddafi’s air forces from bombing rebels on the ground. But that plan would require the intervention of Western air forces.
