Halton police are currently investigating after a hidden camera was allegedly uncovered inside an Aritzia employee washroom.

The camera was found inside a washroom at the store located at Toronto Premium Outlets mall in Halton Hills, Ontario.

Officials confirmed with Now Toronto and said police are “aware of this incident and are investigating.”

They said there were no further updates at this time.

An Aritzia spokesperson told CTV News that it learned of the camera incident on Friday.

That same day an internal investigation was launched.

“A police investigation also commenced immediately the same day, and we are continuing to work together with them,” the retailer’s spokesperson said.

“The safety of our employees and clients is paramount to us, and we are taking every possible step to address this matter and support our team members.”

The retailer said this was an isolated incident that involved one employee washroom at the store and that no other public areas were impacted.
