According to the TTC, the streetcar track renewal work at the intersection is near completion, and will be open for traffic as of Wednesday evening.
The TTC says it will restore regular 29/329/929 Dufferin bus service through the intersection beginning Thursday at 5 a.m. and extend the 503 Kingston Rd. bus service further west along King St. towards Roncesvalles Ave.
Work to renew the aging streetcar tracks began on Sept. 29 and was expected to last until mid-November, resulting in several bus and streetcar routes diversions around King and Dufferin streets as work was underway.
According to the TTC, the streetcar track renewal was originally scheduled for 2024, but was deferred due to supply chain challenges.
The city is expected to replace sidewalks and install tactile plates at the intersection once track work is complete.
