Marina Mabrey has officially been named an All-Star!

The Toronto Tempo guard was one of 22 players selected to play in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) All-Star game on July 25.

Mabrey will be heading to the game as one of 12 reserve players. This is the first time in her eight-year career that she has made All-Star status. She’s also the only player from the Toronto Tempo to have been selected.

“It feels really good to be named a WNBA All-Star,” said Mabrey in a Toronto Tempo press release. “After years of hard work and perseverance, it’s incredibly validating to be recognized among the best players in the league.”

In 2019, she was picked 19th overall in the WNBA college draft and has played for four other WNBA teams — Los Angeles Sparks, Dallas Wings, Chicago Sky, and Connecticut Sun, before being drafted to the Tempo.

On June 25, 2026, she tied the record for most points and most three-point field goals in a WNBA, scoring a mind-boggling 53 points. She made 17 shots with nine from the three-point line.

“Marina’s work ethic and commitment to winning show up every single day. She’s embraced every challenge, elevated her game and made everyone around her better. We’re thrilled to see her recognized as a WNBA All-Star,” said head coach Sandy Brondello in the press release.
