Not only have we received a ton of great submissions from the first annual Hot Summer #NOWPhotoHunt (contest rules here), we’ve also learned a few things while perusing your photos. For example, anyone could win this thing. We’ve got veteran Instagram users churning out a lot of goodies, but there are also some newbs you’ve got to look out for:

@assholesparkedinbikelanes veered away from the usual subject matter (which is, as you may have guessed, cars and trucks belonging to assholes parked in bike lanes) to join in on the fun with this gorgeous photo:
We’ve also learned some of you deserve way, way more followers. @joeyyangli is only following one account (which is us), so maybe that has something to do with it, but his/her photos are so good! Follow this account!
And then there’s a very seasoned lot of Instagram users who really know how to produce pure gold. Damn.
