Party of the century

Toronto’s own Maestro Fresh Wes and Tanika Charles kicked off the first of the R.O.M.’s Friday Night Live series May 2, celebrating the venerable museum’s 100th anniversary.

Upon being coaxed by DJ Eloquence to play just one more track, Toronto soul diva Tanika Charles delivered “Waiting,” from her much-anticipated Slakah The Beat Child-produced new record.

Tonight, the Friday Night Live series continues, featuring photos from the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, and performances by Fefe Dobson and Francesco Yates.
