the u.n. high commissioner for Human Rights, Mary Robinson, has added her name to the list of international heavyweights calling on Bill Clinton to grant clemency to American Indian warrior Leonard Peltier before the prez leaves office this week.The White House has already granted several applications for executive clemency and is promising to OK a new round before Dubya is sworn in Saturday (January 20).
But T.O. supporter Anne Dreaver is not optimistic. “It’ll be a miracle if he’s granted clemency,’ she says.
