“This investigation could only prolong the reunion. In the Raptors statement they say they will wait patiently for the investigation to end before making the move official. With that being said, I don’t think that the reunion could potentially be affected by this investigation since the Raptors are very eager to have Kawhi back in Toronto” Taylor-Williams said.
In a statement from the Los Angeles Clippers, the team claims that it is fully cooperating with the NBA’s investigation and expects the trade sending Kawhi Leonard to the Raptors to be finalized once the process is complete.
“We remain confident that, when the facts are evaluated fairly and thoroughly, the NBA will confirm exactly what we have said from the beginning: We have not done what we are accused of doing.”
