The fight around the city’s environmentally wobbly proposal to send T.O.’s garbage to the Adams Mine in Kirkland Lake just refuses to die. On September 13 at OISE auditorium (7 pm, 252 Bloor West), the Toronto Environmental Alliance, Pollution Probe and SCAM (Stop Considering the Adams Mine) rally to stop the deal.
“There is one last slim opportunity to convince city council to reconsider,” says NDP MPP Marilyn Churley.
The city votes on the final contract for Toronto’s waste on October 13.
