Easy to miss it flying by on a bike. Or on foot if you're looking the wrong way. It's not much to look at - at first. But the haunting rectangular patch on Merton known as The Mission Ground Parkette can stop you dead in your tracks.
Maybe it's the crumbling grey stone wall in the back. The solitary light standard stuck in the middle. The lone bench chained to a post that doesn't look like its seen an ass in months. (Full disclosure here: the place kind of gives me the creeps.)
