The Pan Am Games Torch Relay returned to Toronto yesterday, with Cityline’s Tracy Moore, one of 3,000 torchbearers, receiving the flame and lighting the cauldron on the Bloor Street Viaduct.
Mayor John Tory received a commemorative torch and addressed the crowed onstage on the Viaduct, which was later lit up by 35,000 LED lights for the Luminous Veil beautification project as part of the Games.
Organizers announced this weekend that small blocks of tickets for many of the most in-demand events, like the opening ceremony, equestrian competition, basketball, football, diving and track and field, will go on sale tomorrow (Monday, July 6) at 11 am here.
