Emily Haines bounced onto stage in a silver lamé one-piece a little after 11 for the first of two brief but lively, light-showered sets.
"[The audio-visual transformation] was Emily's idea," Social owner Richard Lambert tells me later, "she wanted to create a sound and light experience."
100 tickets were given away through a Metric-fan mailing list and the rest were handed out to Toronto Film Fest delegates.
Planned as the first annual of a series of private concerts by Runaway Music in partnership with with TIFF and presumably The Social. The only thing missing was an open bar.
