Burger King is mad as hell and they’re not going to take it anymore.
Selling burgers with lines like “Let’s see how full of rage you are,” a campaign created by local mad men Taxi2, is a leap from the hamburger chain’s overseas ads, centered around sex.
The prevailing idea it seems is that the only way to get our attention is to shock and shlock.
But why do Europeans other markets get overtly sexual ads and here the selling point is angry sauce?
It started with the splatter flick appeal of exploding pizza pockets, and has continued through the entire spectrum of EXTREME EVERYTHING.
Given recent rage events in Toronto, this campaign is out of place. Another example of ad agencies and their clients sucking the life, and meaning, out of real emotions and trivializing their effects.
