Canada’s 100 Best, a notable culinary magazine, has released its annual list of the top bars in the country. This is the eighth year the magazine has curated the line-up, doing so through writer and critic Jacob Richler.

Bar Pompette, a cocktail bar in Toronto’s Little Italy, took the runner-up spot on the list, trailing behind Montreal’s Cloakroom bar.

Bar Pompette is a Parisian style café and bar that provides its patrons with unique cocktails combining ingredients not typically paired together. Whether it’s masala chai and cognac or curry leaf and rum, this spot is one to check out to quench your adventurous side as well as your thirst.

Additionally, Library Bar, nestled in The Fairmont Royal York hotel, took both the fifth spot as well as the award for Best Hotel Bar. The classy and cozy vibe of this bar leaves customers craving more.

Some other bars listed include Cry Baby Gallery, XXX, Bar Raval. No Vacancy, which opened in November 2024, took home the award for Best New Bar.
