After a stretch of changing conditions, Toronto is set to enjoy a picture-perfect summer day on Thursday before wetter weather returns later in the week.

Environment Canada is forecasting sunny skies and a high of 28 C, with overnight temperatures dipping to 18 C. Humidity will remain comfortable, winds will stay light, and there is no chance of rain throughout the day, making it an ideal opportunity to spend time outdoors.

Temperatures will climb steadily through the morning, reaching 23 C by 10 a.m., 26 C by noon, and peaking at 28 C during the late afternoon before gradually cooling into the evening.

The pleasant conditions won’t last for long, however.

Cloud cover is expected to increase on Friday, bringing the chance of a few showers by later in the day as a more unsettled weather pattern moves into southern Ontario.

That trend is expected to continue into the weekend, with showers possible on both Saturday and Sunday, while daytime highs remain seasonable in the mid-20s.

Despite the return of rain, temperatures are expected to stay comfortable heading into next week, with sunshine forecast to make a comeback by Monday.
