Brickolage tour Toronto Arts Council’s William Huffman, a former director of A Space Gallery, leads an informal introduction to the 401 Richmond arts building that allows you to chat with artists and gallery owners and explore behind the scenes. Mask4Aid Dufferin Grove Park puppetry troupe Clay & Paper Theatre’s clay masks, painted by guest artists Ronnie Burkett, Fiona Smyth, Barbara Klunder, Istvan Kantor and others, are on exhibit at 24/7 window gallery Side Space. The masks go up for auction at the end of the show to benefit the troupe at the Raise A Ruckus evening, with musical performances, Apr 18 at Supermarket. See listing.

Graphic Details: Confessional Comics By Jewish Women Two events are scheduled for Sunday, closing day of the Koffler’s show of funny and moving comics by Jewish women: a talk on graphic storytelling by artists Sarah Lazarovic and Bernice Eisenstein at 3 pm, and a discussion entitled Israel And Comics: Beyond Black And White, with Dan Friedman, arts editor at NY Yiddish/English newspaper the Forward, at 7 pm. Artists Help Japan Part of an international effort spearheaded by Pixar animation artist Dice Tsutsumi – and locally by illustrator Bobby Chiu and the Beguiling comics store, among others – this 12-hour event includes live artists and illustrators at work, a silent auction and onstage art demos. Proceeds go the the Canadian Red Cross. Free admission, all ages, at Revival. See listing.
