Luis Jacob Local-boy-made-good Jacob gives a tour of Pictures At An Exhibition, his art show about art shows that plays with the idea of the eye looking at an arrangement of rectangles, and Cabinet, his selection of works from the National Gallery in Ottawa that kinda do the same. (Further reading: James Putnam’s excellent book Art And Artifact: The Museum As Medium surveys other artists who comment on museum and gallery conventions.) 1 pm at MOCCA. See listing.

Here And Now The Gibraltar Point Artscape Lodge on Toronto Islands holds a night of performance by Yuula Benivolski, Lisa Cristinzo and others, video by Jamie Callum Ross, Anna-May Henry, Geoffrey Pugen, Laura McCoy and others from Canada, the UK and the U.S., plus an open studio for Kat Burns’s An Hour Of My Time project. A shuttle bus takes people there from the Ward’s Island ferry docks at 5:30 pm. See listing.

El Anatsui Last day for the Ghanaian-born, Nigeria-based artist’s retrospective of installations, sculptures, ceramics and the glittering bottle-cap “tapestries” for which he became internationally renowned. Our number-one show of 2010 now heads to New York’s new Museum for African Art on 5th Avenue. Art critic Sarah Milroy leads a tour at 2 pm. At the ROM. See listing.
