For the first time in 32 years the Toronto Blue Jays will compete in the World Series, and fans are flooding Toronto with their predictions.
The Toronto Blue Jays will take on the L.A Dodgers in the World Series with the first game at home in The Rogers Centre on Friday.
The rules are simple, it’s a best of seven games, and the first team to win four will take home the championship.
Mitchell S. says he was only two years old when the Jays last won the series in 1993, and says he’s confident he’ll finally get to witness a World Series win again for the team, but admits it will be tough.
“I think it’s gonna be another really tight battle. The Dodgers are really good. I don’t think it’s gonna be over in four, I think it’ll go to probably seven,” he told Now Toronto. “I think we’re gonna win.”

Another fan we caught up with travelled all the way from Halifax to watch the games, and although he travelled from afar, he says getting the chance to witness history was an easy decision.
“I’ve always been a big Blue Jays fan, this is the first time for them being in the World Series in my life, I’m 22,” he said.
He says he’s confident the Jays will win the series but it may take quite a few games.
“Seven games, the Jays are going to win,” he said.
Another fan named Diana says she’s filled with energy watching the Toronto Blue Jays finally make it to the World Series.
“Go Blue Jays, we’re gonna win, we’re getting this title, 31 years in the making, that was before my time, but today we’re going to take it,” she said.
Not only does she think the Jays are going to take it, she believes they’ll take it in four games.
“I’m gonna cry, I’m gonna scream… it’s gonna be like 2019 all over again, remember when the Raptors won? The city’s going to go ballistic,” she said. “Someone’s probably gonna climb up the CN Tower.”
Diana envisions a unified Toronto and Canada, and Kurt S. says the country needs that unity right now, and believes the Jays will be the one to make it happen.
“There’s not too many things right now that seem to unify our country, but the Blue Jays are one of those things, Canada needs things that everyone can rally behind right now,” he said.
Just like most fans, he’s certain they’ll be bringing home the championship.
“Blue Jays in seven,” he said.
The last time the Jays were in the World Series was in 1993 when they won against the Philadelphia Phillies in six games.
