The Toronto Pride Parade returns on Sunday, June 28, running from 2 p.m. until approximately 6 p.m., with thousands of marchers, community organizations, performers and allies expected to fill the streets in one of Canada’s largest Pride celebrations.
Whether you’re planning to watch the parade, march alongside participants or spend the day exploring the Church-Wellesley Village, here’s everything you need to know before heading downtown.
When is Pride Parade Toronto 2026?
The Toronto Pride Parade takes place on Sunday, June 28, beginning at 2 p.m. and running until approximately 6 p.m.
The annual parade serves as the grand finale of Pride Festival weekend and attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators each year.
Where does the parade take place?
The parade travels through downtown Toronto and the Church-Wellesley Village, one of Canada’s most significant 2SLGBTQ+ neighbourhoods.
Along the route, spectators can expect colourful floats, live performances, community organizations, advocacy groups and thousands of marchers celebrating Pride’s message of inclusion, visibility and equality.
Road closures to know
Drivers should expect significant traffic disruptions throughout Sunday.
Road closures begin as early as 8 a.m. as the parade forms near Rosedale Valley Road.
Additional closures begin throughout the morning, including portions of:
- Church Street
- Yonge Street
- Bloor Street
- Bay Street
- Dundas Street West
- Park Road
- Asquith Avenue
- Collier Street
Most roads are expected to reopen by approximately 8 p.m.
What should you bring?
With warm summer weather expected and large crowds throughout the day, Pride Toronto is encouraging visitors to plan ahead.
Bring:
- A reusable water bottle (free refill stations are available throughout the festival)
- Sunscreen
- Comfortable walking shoes
- A hat or sunglasses
- Plenty of patience, as crowds and wait times are expected
Festival organizers also remind visitors that Pride is not a bring-your-own-beverage event. Food, alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase from vendors throughout the festival grounds.
Visitors will also find Tap to Donate stations around the site, where $2 donations help support Pride Toronto and keep the festival free to attend.
