Apple-picking season in Ontario is nearing its end, so if you still want to go, now is the time to plan one last trip to the orchard. Whether you’re hoping to fill a bag with fresh apples, spend some time outdoors, or enjoy a fall day trip with family and friends, there may still be time to pick your own fruit before the season wraps up.

The season for apple picking typically runs from late August until the end of October, although some orchards may get extended by farm owners into early November, which is dependent on the weather and remaining crop available. So, it’s definitely worth giving the following farms a call before hitting the road.

But without further ado, here are a few places to consider for last-minute apple picking around the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Wynn Farms

Where: Prince Edward County

Wynn Farms is extending its fall season into November, giving visitors a little more time to enjoy apple picking and other seasonal activities.

The farm also gives guests a chance to check out their corn maze or taste fresh apple cider, caramel apples, and other fall treats.

Luna Farms

Those willing to make the drive down to Stoney Creek, just southeast of Hamilton, can check out Luna Farms, which has announced this weekend as its final weekend of the season, from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1.
