As this year’s CNE gets underway, Toronto electronic duo Zeds Dead has been announced as a surprise performer at this year’s festivities.
The duo will take the Bell Soundstage at the Bandshell on Aug. 28, following weeks of teasing from the CNE about a mystery performer for the date.
Zeds Dead, made up of DC and Hooks, have been performing together for nearly 17 years and have become one of Toronto and Canada’s biggest electronic acts.
The Aug. 28 performance will mark the duo’s second Toronto show this summer, following their July stop at RBC Amphitheatre as part of their Journey of a Lifetime tour.
The tour comes following the release of their latest studio album, Return to the Return (of the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness).
Zeds Dead are among a packed lineup of artists performing at the CNE’s Bell Soundstage throughout this year’s exhibition.
