Toronto is getting some sunshine this weekend, providing perfect weather to explore the city and its awesome events.

This weekend, there’s a video game-inspired concert by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra , a Bentway night party, Doors Open Toronto, and Taste of Korea food festival, among other events. Here’s what you can check out:

Friday, May 24:

Toronto Symphony Orchestra – Game ON!

The Toronto Symphony Orchestra is taking some of the world’s most famous video game soundtracks and turning them into a unique concert performance. “Game ON!” will include never-before-seen HD video of games from World of Warcraft, The Witcher 3, and more to create a one-of-a-kind concert presented by the renowned orchestra. The event promises to be an exhilarating night at Roy Thomson Hall from May 24-25 at 7:30 p.m. You can book your tickets on your Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s website.

34th Annual Inside Out 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival

Support queer stories at the 34th Annual Inside Out 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival happening from May 24 to June 1 at TIFF Lightbox. The festival has been running for over 30 years and showcases 2SLGBTQ+ stories through the medium of film. Tickets for individual screenings range from $12.75 to $15.

Bentway Summer Opening Night Party 

Attend an exciting party at the Bentway Summer Opening Night Party under the Gardiner Expressway for some live performances, a new art exhibition called “Softer City” and yummy food trucks. Visitors can mix, mingle and dance amongst friends. Tickets are $20 each and it starts at 7 p.m

Saturday, May 25:

Doors Open Toronto

Doors Open Toronto is back to give Torontonians an opportunity to explore over 160 of the city’s architectural, historical, cultural and socially significant buildings for free this weekend. This year, the theme is “hidden histories” aimed to inspire guests to learn untold stories about the city. Most sites are open from 10 a.m to 5 p.m., unless otherwise indicated.

Bourbon Street North at The Distillery District

The Distillery District is hosting a Bourbon Street North Festival celebrating the music, food and culture of New Orleans. The event, inspired by the Big Easy, will feature traditional jazz and blues music and lots of food with creole flavours. The event is free to attend and the district is open from 1 to 4 p.m Mondays to Thursdays, 4:30 p.m to 7:30 p.m on Fridays, and 1 to 4 p.m., as well as, 4:30 p.m to 7:30 p.m on weekends.

Party 4 Paws Pet Fair

Bring your good girls and boys to the Party 4 Paws Pet Fair at Trinity Bellwoods Park. At the fair, you can treat your pets to some yummy treats, new dog gear and more. There’s going to be pet vendors, local and international animal rescues and agility courses. The free event begins at 12 p.m. and ends at 6 p.m.

Sunday, May 26: 

Toronto MS Walk

Take a walk at Downsview Park for a cause. The Toronto MS Walk is a day to honour those affected by multiple sclerosis. It brings the community together to raise awareness and support for the nervous system autoimmune disease that affects over 90,000 Canadians. The walk is free to join and is from 9:30 a.m to 3 p.m.

The Second City 89th Mainstage Revue

Spend your Sunday having a laugh at The Second City Mainstage’s brand new 89th Revue, a show with a fresh cast and even fresher jokes that will have the audience in tears. The show takes place at the Toronto Mainstage, located at 1 York St., from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets range from $29 to $59.

Welcome to Taste of Korea!

Indulge in some mouthwatering Korean eats at the Taste of Korea in Scarborough. Guests can try some authentic Korean food, tasty street desserts and even enter a spicy ramen eating speed contest if they dare. The festival begins at 1 p.m and is located at 70 McGriskin Rd.
