A petition to save Big Brother Canada is circulating online after Corus Entertainment announced its 2024/2025 shows lineup and the reality series did not appear on the list, sparking speculation it had been cancelled.

The petition was started by Big Brother fan Jayda Bannister on June 6, after fans noticed the show was absent from a Corus entertainment press release issued last week.

“As many of you know, Big Brother Canada has been shelved. We saved it once before, and we can do it again! If we give up now, it’s truly over. But while the news is still fresh, we have the chance to make a difference. This time, the fight is more critical than ever,” the petition states.

As of publication, it has 5,737 signatures with a goal of 7,500.

According to the website big brother network, the show has been put on hiatus following its relatively low season 12 ratings, which wrapped on May 10, but has not yet been cancelled.

“If Big Brother Canada is ultimately cancelled this will be the second time,” the website said.
