Interactive map reveals World Cup watch parties
To help soccer fans, residents, and visitors take part in the event and avoid missing games, Amsterdam startup Dashmote has launched a free World Cup project that allows fans to view all World Cup watch parties, including in Toronto.
The tool, named Watch Party Radar, is a live interactive map that allows users to view all verified screening events and venues across the city free of charge.
There are currently 148 venues in Toronto screening World Cup games, with 19 of them including match parties, and some of the standout spots including Sankofa Square, Fox on John, and Mangal Kebab House.
Users are able to browse the map for all the screening locations, including the name and location of the venue, a description of the event, whether they include any special deals, and a star rating by reviewers.
The tool also includes filters, which allow users to search for watch parties for specific games, venue types, and specific teams.
The map will be refreshed daily through the final World Cup game, which will take place on July 19.
