What to know

  • The TTC has launched a new interactive live map for subway and LRT lines.
  • Riders can view real-time service disruptions, departure times, accessibility information and occupancy levels.
  • The map is available through TTC.ca’s upgraded Live Service Alerts section and a dedicated webpage.
  • Bus and streetcar routes are expected to be added to the platform later this year.

The TTC has launched a new interactive live map that gives riders real-time information on subway and LRT service, helping passengers navigate the transit network and stay informed about disruptions.

The new tool is the first of its kind for the TTC and is designed to provide riders with a more detailed view of service conditions across the system. Bus and streetcar routes are expected to be added to the map later this year.

When using the map, passengers can view real-time information including:

  • Subway and LRT lines displayed on the network map
  • Service outages and disruptions
  • Departure times
  • Accessible stations marked with a wheelchair symbol

Riders can also view train occupancy levels and station amenities, providing additional information that may help them plan their journeys more efficiently.

The tool is designed to give passengers a clearer picture of network conditions before and during their trips, allowing them to make informed decisions when delays or service disruptions occur.

Instead of relying solely on station announcements or service alerts posted elsewhere, riders can now access real-time transit information in one location, with updates displayed directly on the map.

This first phase of the map is also intended to gather customer feedback before the transit agency expands the platform to include bus and streetcar routes.

The Live Map can be accessed through the recently upgraded Live Service Alerts section on TTC.ca or through the dedicated Live Map webpage. By selecting “View Map,” users can expand the display to see the full transit network.

The launch comes as the TTC continues to prepare for increased ridership tied to major international events, including the FIFA World Cup.
